The Nouvel Odéon, the unique Parisian cinema
Housed in a former mansion, located in the heart of the Latin Quarter and formerly known as the Racine Odéon, the Nouvel Odéon cinema offers a new way of enjoying the magic of the silver screen.
The French designer Matali Crasset was chosen by the new owners of this venerable building to carry out the renovation works. The result is a delightful contemporary space that boasts an intimacy far removed from the overly familiar image of a multiplex box.
Characterised by a carefully conceived simplicity, the design focusses on hospitality and modularity, nesting the various spaces like puzzle pieces from the entrance to the bar, through the ticket area. We come here to see a film but also to experience a place. A place of life where there is both a before and an after your session in this unique screening room that is now equipped with the best sound and image technology available. Enjoy!
