A fashion world hub; the Yves Saint Laurent Paris Museum
After more than fifteen years of closure, the famous fashion house at 5 Avenue Marceau, in the 8th arrondissement of Paris, has reopened its doors to celebrate the spirit of Yves Saint Laurent. Transformed into a museum, the mansion has been fully restored to its original appearance by scenographer Nathalie Crinière and interior designer Jacques Grange, who have both collaborated on many projects for the Foundation.
The first museum of this size devoted to the work of one of the greatest fashion designers of the 20th century to be opened in the fashion capital of the world, the Musée Yves Saint Laurent Paris reflects both the creative genius of the designer and the processes that led to his haute couture collections. It also bears witness to the history of the 20th century and the fashions that accompanied the lifestyles of yesteryear.
