BACK SIDE - FASHION FROM BEHIND AT MUSEE BOURDELLE
The Palais Galliera (currently closed for renovation) presents within Musée Bourdelle an original exhibition dedicated to clothing seen from behind. Although it escapes often to our view, it remains a source of creation and fantasy for artists who never cease to enhance it with low-cut neckline, lace, transparency and other fine details.
Through a large selection of silhouettes from Haute Couture, ready-to-wear and hundreds of accessories from the 18th century to the present day, the route focuses on the perception we have of our own and other people’s backs.
Among the masterpieces exposed, Antoine Bourdelle’s sculptures blend very well with pieces of fabric from renowned designers such as Chanel, Margiela and Yamamoto.
18, rue Antoine-Bourdelle, 75015 Paris
From July, 05th to November, 17th 2019. From Tuesday to Sunday from 10am to 6pm
