Ben at the Maillol Museum; Is Everything Art?
On the occasion of its reopening, the Musée Maillol presents the first major exhibition in Paris devoted to Ben, a major figure of the contemporary art scene in France. Bringing together over 200 works drawn mostly from the artist’s personal collection, as well as from private collections, this retrospective reveals the many facets of an iconoclastic and provocative artist who has rejected the stifling confines of conformity for over 50 years. The exhibition also presents the most recent creations of the master of the écriture, many of which are on display in public for the first time, and others inspired by the works of Aristide Maillol on view in the permanent collection.
