Candlemas at "Le Pot O'Lait"

Yesterday was Candlemas Day. But do you know the origin of this festival? It dates back to the 5th century, when during the torchlight processions in honor of the presentation of Jesus in the Temple, Pope Gelasius I offered galettes to the pilgrims. It is therefore the perfect occasion to taste this typical French dish. And to do so, we recommend an address located a few steps from the Hotel Monge: le Pot O'Lait. 

In this restaurant, soberly decorated with advertising posters from the 30's, you will find an important choice of pancakes and galettes where all the tastes are represented, but also a choice of composed salads accompanied by an organic chopped steak for all those who are not yet fans of galettes. 

Do not hesitate to go to this restaurant to choose your favorite galette! 

At 8 minutes walk from the Monge hotel. Open Monday to evening, Tuesday to Saturday for lunch and dinner. Closed on Sunday.
