Diptyque, the repertoire of scents
Founded in 1961 by three friends from the fine arts and decoration (Desmond Knox-Lett, Christiane Gautrot and Yves Coueslant) the store exhibits their own creations of soft furnishings as well as the biggest brands of traditional English perfumery, then little known in France.
A bazaar in the noble sense of the word. Every detail is thought. Like the oval emblematic of the brand that takes the form of a medallion of the eighteenth century, found in particular on one of the fabrics created by Desmond Knox-Leet.
Now a true reference in the field of olfactory, Diptyque distributes home fragrances, body and candles. The repertoire of scents for the house pays homage to nature, with a selection of raw materials. As for him, the perfume was first based on a recipe of pot pourri of the 16th century and evolutions were followed to arrive today to a large refined collection of eau de toilette without distinction of masculine or feminine gender.
