Georgia O'Keeffe at the Centre Pompidou
You don't always need to go to a park to admire the beauty of nature. Until December 6, the Centre Pompidou offers you an atypical stroll through the wonderful landscapes inhabited by giant flowers created by Georgia O'Keeffe, a pioneer of "hard edge" abstract painting. This major artist of North American art of the twentieth century participated in the advent of American modernism as well as the multiple artistic research that have marked the country over time.
The exhibition guides us through the artist's career by revealing a hundred paintings, drawings and photographs. According to Georgia O'Keeffe's artistic period, you will be able to admire flowers and plants with surreal shapes and hues, as well as beautiful pictures of her taken by Stieglitz during their passionate relationship.
Until 06/12/2021. Open daily (except Tuesday) from 11am to 8pm.
