Magritte in Beaubourg; an amazing exhibition!
Drawing upon emblematic works and other, lesser-known creations on loan from the most important public and private collections, this new thematic exhibition offers a fresh approach to the work of the Belgian artist, René Magritte (1898–1967). The many paintings, drawings, and archival documents gathered for The Treachery of Images help us to explore the painter's interest in philosophy, reveal his thinking on the issues of resemblance and realism, and shine a spotlight on his drive to create misleading representations of the world. Come along and allow this genius to toy with your perceptions of reality. JR.
