Mary Cassatt. An American impressionist in Paris
On the 9th March the Jacquemart-André Museum has opened its doors with an exhibition dedicated to the art of the American impressionist Mary Cassatt. Gathering her major works across the most iconic American and French Art museums, the exhibition lights up a life of the feminine painter who has found her artistic path in between 2 continents. An original look a deeply influenced by the mother to child relationship, Mary Cassatt invites the public to meditate on this traditional subject in the Museum Jacquemart-André until the 23rd July.
Located in the mansion of Jacquemart-André, the museum itself is worth visiting just to have a look at the beautiful interiors of 19th century French bourgeois family. Don’t hesitate to visit the beautiful café hidden in the museum’s corridors. During the sunny days, you may also settle down on the terrace and enjoy the delicious French pastry under the Parisian sky.
