The Greco exhibition at the Grand Palais
Raised at the Venetian then the Roman school of art, Le Gréco is celebrated at the Grand Palais in Paris for his first monographic retrospective. Painter, sculptor and architect born in 1541 in Crete, he is known for his style characterized by long shapes and bright colors.
He was a great figure of the Renaissance and the Golden Century. He founded the Spanish School of painting in the 16th century where he taught the art of handling tradition to modernity.
