The Maison Deyrolle decorates the Hotel Monge
The decoration of the Hotel Monge is designed to fit perfectly into the environment of the Latin Quarter. To do so, it combines typically Parisian furniture with multiple reminders of nature and its diversity. To ensure the best possible result, we called upon the renowned Maison Deyrolle.
At the time of its creation in 1831, the company was specialized in the sale of insects and hunting material for natural history collections, as well as in taxidermy. It is therefore an educational vocation that pushes the Deyrolle family to create their own brand and to develop over time wall charts intended for schools in France. These unique creations combine the worlds of art and design, and have been acclaimed by great artists such as Robert Doisneau and Salvador Dalí.
The rare and unusual beauty of these illustrations has aroused the interest of many decorators, so that wallpapers have been created and currently decorate our hotel.
Indeed, the parrots and butterflies that inhabit all our rooms, as well as the boards that decorate our panoramic elevator, and the paintings in the corridors are signed Deyrolle and fit perfectly with the Parisian interior of the Hotel Monge.
